Offices2share.com offers short-term flexible office space for businesses. The company operates a free nationwide search engine for short-term, ready-to-use office space. Their catalog has all types of office space offerings including executive suites, private and shared office space.
Today the company starts its 2nd Annual The Home Office From Hell contest. The Grand Prize winner will get 12 month of rent of office space valued up to $12K at any location posted on Offices2Share.com plus a paid trip to New York City to have lunch with Donald Trump's right-hand man. Other prizes include computers and servers from Dell, trip to New York and books. Entrants should post their top 10 reasons why they need to move out of their home office from hell. Creativity is definitely appreciated and contestants are encouraged to use all types of media to describe how dreadful their current office is.
Here are my 10 reasons why I need an office outside of my apartment:
1. I need to get out of the house
2. I need a big printer
3. I need a big fax machine
4. I need a big scanner
5. Offices usually have cleaning service. I have to clean my office because it's my home:)
6. Working in an office means unlimited access to pens, notepads and other office supplies items. Not that I need any of that right now but it would be nice
7. In real office I won't be disturbed with house chores
8. Office is usually bigger than my living room where I work
9. Working in the real office means communicating with real people
10. Working in the office means lunch breaks, smoking breaks, office gossips, etc. Sometimes I need it
