Review of Emoze service for mobile devices

www.emoze.com is a service from a software developer called Emblaze. It’s a very respectable located in Raanana, Israel. The company has been around for a very long (in Internet time) time, and continues to lead the industry in new direction.
The new service called Emoze is innovative in a number of ways. First of all, it’s a first free “push” service meaning the customer do not need to connect to the server to get the data, it’s “pushed” onto mobile device automatically. This feature was previously available on expensive BlackBerry devices running on its proprietary network. Secondly, the software works with all Microsoft PocketPC and most smartphones and devices running under Symbian operating system.
The software can be downloaded for free from www.emoze.com website. The service itself is free too. The setup process is pretty straight-forward and takes several minutes. Information is delivered to users by means of Emoze Global Service Network that works with any POP3 servers (including Yahoo and Gmail), Emoze client and Emoze PC Connector. The company spent a lot of effort to ensure security of the platform.
Currently, the service is available only on Windows platform and for users of Microsoft Outlook only. Emblaze promises to add support for Mac users as well Lotus Notes, Thunderbird and other client software. Even though, the list of supported hardware devices is long and impressive. The company offers support to its users on the Emoze website. The website also features a wealth of useful information on the product.
Overall, Emoze is the first product that gives customers the kind of service that was previously available only to subscribers of proprietary networks that required purchase of expensive equipment (like BlackBerry). It’s a good step to bring real mobility to millions of users all around the world.
